Identifying Retro My Little Ponies
I. Identifying a Retro Pony vs. Original Pony
II. Identifying the Pony's Name
I. How Do I Know if my Pony is a Retro (Remake)?
Basic Fun has set out to reproduce several lines of original G1 (and G3!) ponies with a close attention to detail--so close, that it may be difficult to tell them apart. One of the easiest ways to figure out if your pony is an original G1 or a Retro release is to look at the information printed under its feet:
G1 ponies were made in a wide variety of styles and sizes. Just because your pony doesn't look like the Applejack pictured above, it's definitely worth checking out if your pony is, in fact, a G1 My Little Pony product. For more information on Basic Fun's My Little Pony Retro releases, check out the informational thread here:

II. What's Your Retro Pony's Name?
There are several ways to figure out which My Little Pony you have. Fortunately, we have wonderful members of the collecting community who have made this easier than it's ever been to accurately and easily identify your pony.
Right here at the MLPTP! Simply go to the MLP Discussion area and post a thread with the prefix "Pony ID Help."
