I do this too sometimes. I take what the pony's personality is and try and translate it into human form. Mine are a lot more cartoony and I love the fact that you went more realistic. I should try that sometime.
I also like to include the pony's symbol on their clothing somewhere...although your boys seem to missing their clothes...(because they are headshots, haha. Ok, maybe that wasn't funny.)
I wouldn't want to meet Tornado in a dark alley though. O_O lol.
