Linda Eder

Any fans here? I just went to her concert last night and it was AMAZING! If you're not familiar with her - she was in Jekyll and Hyde on Broadway, and her husband wrote the music for it. She also sang the song "Gold" for the winter Olympics.

Most of the songs last night were a tribute to Judy Garland and many were off her latest cd. I've been a fan for many years, since I sang "I'll Forget You" for a singing class and looked her up as she'd done it. My absolute favorite last night was "Stormy Weather" which blended into "Smile". Two of my all-time favorite songs! I'll definitely be getting another of her cd's - I want to hear those 2 songs again, but don't think she's actually recorded "Stormy Weather" - or at least I can't find it.

ahhh I'm so happy I went. I guess you could call this the 2nd time I've been to "a concert", if you don't include symphonies and choirs. Other than this I've seen the Wallflowers - but that's a totally different category, and this was in a theatre with a nice respectable audience - much more my speed. And Linda is very funny! 1 hour 45 minutes with talking between some of the songs - just absolutely wonderful. I definitely recommend seeing her or listening to her music.
