when i deflocked pony si just use the hot water and the acetone, but i also scrurb with a strong tooth brush; it puts more pressure on than a cotton ball does i do that mostly with the water or a dabbing of acetone-my burush doesn't go in the acetone. i also have really long and strong nails, so scrapping realy helps too. usually what happens to me is i get the fuzz off easily with the water then i have to scrub at the glue with the acetone. it's a lot easier to deflock if you don't want to saved tha paint (ie going to bait it), but you just do the same thing if you aren't just be more carweful around the painted areas is all.
it gets easier the more you do it caiuse you learn what works and what doesn't real fast.
