Wow, those are a lot of projects! That's very kind of you to offer trying out a commission for me too in the midst of so many other things going on. Truly, thank you!
No problem about the limitations in colors you have in stock at the moment, and I hope your daughter finds your random practice pony to be very cute and loveable. I think that's really great how you aim for "factory made" quality. Thank you for your great care in your work. And in most cases, from what I've seen of the toys and plushes sold in stores these days, I'd say fans have done a tremendously better job in the end overall. I bet you'd be appalled at some of the lazy detailing and lack of uniqueness that passes through the toy aisles now.
And if you'd like feel free to post pictures. If you have time that is of course. I will say I am curious about the creation process. : )
