Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel... A Dollar Tree DS fakie custom
I just finished a custom that I was making for a friend out of one of the new DT divine shine fakies. I used the walking pose version because the other pose gave me some problems, including the fact that it kept leaning forward and wouldn't stand up straight.
I wasn't sure how this was going to come out because the Pony was weird in my ways. It's tail wasn't threaded through but was actually made of individual plugs the same way that manes are usually plugged. I had to cut her a tail hole and give her a second row of mane plugs. Overall, however, I think she turned out really nice. ^_^
Her name is Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel and she was made for a very close friend of mine who collects--you guessed it--dreidels. ^_^
She's been given a full-body repaint and was rehaired with Forget Me Not and Arctic Frost from dollyhair.com.
And her dreidel...I made it out of clay.

SS, it's a hanukkah toy for children. I don't know to much about them except it's a game, kids spin the Dreidel, sing the Dreidel song. Kids play for chocolate coins wrapped in foil.
It's a wonderful custom, I love how you used the theme, Dreidel on her back and coins on her sides. and the colours are awesome as well. Great job!
Oh, and I love her eyes, very nice anime expression to them.

The Jew Speaks.
I cannot tell you how much this makes me laugh.
In a very good way, mind you.

That is really really awesome! I love the colors, and the white on the feet/legs. It's really beautiful!
SS- a driedal is used in a game with a couple other kids, usually 3-4... There are 4 sides to the dreidal which are Nun, Gimel, Hay, Shin (those 4 are all hebrew letters) they stand for Ness Gadol Haya Sham (Hebrew for a big miracle happened there) basically you can use any small item, traditionally it's been chocolate coins but i've played before with m & m's or jolly ranchers... everyone starts out with the same amount and you spin the dreidal and whatever letter comes up is what you do on your turn. As you play, you accumulate a 'pot' in the middle, sort of like poker. If you get Nun, it means you get nothing, Gimel means you get whatever's in the middle, Hay means you get half of the pot, and Shin means you have to put some into the pot.
And that is everything you've always wanted to know about dreidals but were afraid to ask. Sorry for the ramble - Hannukah ended last night and we already miss it in my house.

LOL That was awesome, BabyStarbow! ^_^
Thanks, guys. This is one of my favorite customs so far. The choker just makes it, doesn't it! That was the brilliant suggestion of a customizer at the Arena. I had made a bad gash in the neck with my exacto knife, and she suggested some sort of bow to hide it. Genius. hee hee

Oh my word, she's so stunning. Your paintwork is to be envied. And I *love* the placement of the dredel (did I spell that right?) Really superb work.
