2 Pegasus boys, Hematite and Jay

First up is Hematite. With such a simple stark color scheme I considered leaving him without a symbol, but I eventually decided I'd stick with my original planned symbol (a sort of tribal style mountain range) but on the non-display side.









Jay was going to be water-themed to counter his brother's earth-theme, but halfway through painting his wings I realized they looked a lot like a blue jay, so I ran with it!









I used apoxie clay for both of them, and some lovely hair blends from restoredoll. These are some of the first customs I've made using Testors brand acrylics, I really do think they're superior after using them a few times. They cover better, and are less streaky. (but more expensive!)

They are very handsome! Jay does remind me of a blue jay. Their sculpting is amazing and they are just awesome! They are so detailed and really beautiful!
