So, I've been sort of quiet lately all around, but I did have a chance to participate in the Candy Swap at the arena. This is my contribution. Since my partner has posted that she arrived, I can now share some pictures. Ok, a lot of pictures, potentially too many. Sorry about that. Explaination at the bottom.
The last picture is a like a concept image, so you can see why I painted her two-toned and such. I later thought I should have painted the front half one color and the back half the other instead of splitting her length-wise, but I still like the way she came out.
She is painted with Vallejo Game Color acrylics and sealed with satin varnish. Her eyes and the nerds are painted with Vallejo Gloss Varnish for a wet look, on the eyes, and to give the nerds that appearance of a candy shell.
I also originally intended to do the full Nerds logo for her symbol, but decided that miniaturizing it to fit on her bum would look awkward and I didn't want it plastered over her whole side, so I opted for just the Wonka hat. I had to sand it off and try again once. It was hard to get the curvature just right.
She was rehaired with Dollyhair nylon in Sugarplum and Candy Kiss.
The nerds were sculped with Apoxie Sculpt.
