How would you paint?

I want to do a custom with fade on her legs, how would i do that with out an airbrush??

I can't paint fairly well, and I've painted stocking before. I am not sure how you would paint fade.

Did you check out the tutorials on here and over at the Arena?

Well to do a fade, you start out with a thin coat and go as high as you want it. Then start layering the paint in darker shades as you go and not going as high up each time. Say you are doing a fade on the leg and going up the armpit area. Do say a very light shade of pink, where it's almost white and then just gradually start darkening the paint a little bit each time and don't go all the way up the leg until you are the point with the darkest of the fading color and are only in the hoof area.

You can also dye the pony with a fade. Just dip it in the dye and each time you tip it, don't go as far up and it will have a nice fade as well.
