Hi!

What do you use to colour your ponies?
If you use a blank pony how do you color the "skin" and hair?
And there is a site that teach how to reroot ponies?

Usually paint is used for the pony's body.
You can also dye the body, and the hair.
The most common way to change the hair color is rerooting. You can buy hair here: Doll Hair- DOLLYHAIR.COM Saran and Nylon for rerooting or my little pony custom, dolls, saran, nylon hair, fairy wings stockists, blythe, eye chips, Sindy, angelina, dolly hair, reroot, supplies and many other places.

These sites will also help you get started...

this will help with painting the body

I believe there is a shop called MyLittleCustoms.com out of the UK. They supposedly sell the same hair as DollyHair.

I don't currently have any MLP reroot tools in stock, only doll ones (the needle is longer and therefore a little too fragile to recommend using on ponies)

Sweetlittlejenny is correct in saying I stock dollyhair Nylon - I also stock restoredoll Saran too if that is any help to you SoSilver?

I am glad the video tutorials are helping everyone! I keep meaning to do a MLP specific one x

I tend to just use simple Apple Barrel, Folk Art, and Michaels brand of craft acrylic paints. They all work just nicely, since they're smooth enough to work with, yet you can still easily thin them down to reduce the look of brush strokes.

Can thoroughly recommend Piper. Somehow my stuff always manages to arrive the next day even if I order it at the last minute!

Personally I paint bodies. I haven't quite had the guts to try dying just yet, and I'm putting an air brush on my christmas list.

Rerooting is surprisingly simple, just time consuming. I started off using a needle and dental floss but these days I use a tool which is quicker and better for rehairing awkward areas.. like backs and feet.
