G2 to G1 or G3 Swap!
Ok pony people, let's face it- the G2s are the unloved middle child of My Little Pony history. But I have a theory that most of us are put off of them just because of the body style. If you REALLY look into G2s, there are a lot of fun color schemes and interesting symbols floating around.
So let's put this to the test!
For this swap you will be creating a G1 or G3 custom based on your partner's list of favorite G2 ponies. Meaning NO ONE will be making an actual G2 custom.
I will allow adults or babies to be on your list of favorites, but since twins are so rampant in the G2 line, please be specific about which one you like. If you like both you may list both but it is entirely up to the person making a custom for you whether or not they want (or can) make two customs within the time frame of the swap. No one should expect to receive more than one pony in their swap box.
Please make sure if your partner requests a G2 baby, you make a G1/3 baby.
And if they request a G2 adult, make a G1/3 adult!
Please don't get too creative. This is a Hasbro based swap and the pony you create should be able to be traced back to an original G2 pony without much detective work.
Requirements to Participate
Minimum three months of active membership.
Minimum post count of 50.
Minimum of 5 positive feedbacks on either of the community sites (MLPTP, Arena).
Clear, detailed pictures of your 3 most recent customs will need to be sent in with your application.
You cannot be involved in more than 2 other swaps at the same time.
Minors (ages 16 - 18 ) may join with an adult sponsor. You will keep your sponsor informed of your progress, checking in with him/her just as you will with me. This person will receive overall swap feedback from me for being a sponsor.
A sponsor must meet the following requirements:
At least 21 years of age.
Minimum one year active membership.
Minimum of 15 positive feedbacks on any of the community sites with no negative feedback.
If you do not have enough feedback to meet these requirements
I will let you join IF 1) you can find a sponsor, 2) you meet the minimums for membership time and post count, and 3) can provide pictures of your past customs.
General Swap Requirements and Reminders
.: There won't be any "official" skill level brackets, but I will do my best to pair people according to their abilities.
.: Partners will be a secret (meaning the person you're creating for may not necessarily be the person creating for you) so try not to spoil the surprise!
.: You will have about 10 weeks to complete your custom.
.: Baits must be genuine Hasbro ponies. No fakies!
(If you're not sure whether or not you should bait a particular pony please ask about it here or in the customs forum. Better safe than sorry!)
.: Make sure you check in and meet all deadlines.
.: I understand real life happens- PLEASE PM me as soon as you encounter a problem so that I am aware of your situation and so other arrangements can be made (if necessary).
.: This is a CUSTOM swap. Extras are not required nor expected (and they certainly don't make up for late shipping!)
.: All packages must have tracking and you will need to PM me the code when you ship.
.: Remember to leave feedback for your partner after you receive your custom.
Overall Swap Feedback will be left by me at the end of the swap, once everyone has sent, received, and left feedback for their own partners.
Dropping out of the swap after the photo check in date, shipping excessively late, or not shipping at all will result in a negative feedback.
Dropping out after partners are assigned but before the photo check in date or shipping a couple days late will result in a neutral feedback.
Meeting all check in and shipping deadlines and making a custom you would love to receive will earn you a positive feedback!
Dates to Remember
January 2 - January 9: Swap Sign-ups. Feedback will be checked as applications are received.
January 10: Partners sent. Start working!
February 18: Photo update/progress check-in. You will receive your partner's address (and will be free to ship) at this time.
March 17: International shipping deadline.
March 24: US shipping deadline.
