VA Pony Meet this weekend- Aug 23rd 2008

I'm going for it again this year! We had a nice turnout last year and I'd like to host it again. Who all is interested in attending?

Where in VA are you planning on having the meet? I live in Bristol TN, right on the VA/TN border and was thinking of trying to have one for TN. I would be interested in attending a VA pony meet, if it is close enough to me.

You probably will say it's too far. The normal drive for me out that way (in-laws live past Bristol in the outskirts of Kingsport I think that's what it's called) and it takes us 6 hours with good traffic and weather.

It's going to be in the hampton roads area of VA in the 7 cities on the peninsula. It's out in the Southeastern part of the state. It's an hour south of Richmond and an hour north of VA Beach. I'll email the meet location to everyone a few days prior to the meet date, along with maps like I did for last year.

Update,

One of the main events that I am planning is selling off a major chunk of my collection. I've got over 500 pieces and close to an 85% complete collection. I've run out of storage room and I'd like to get rid of many of them. All are MIB.

Who all is going to be attending? I hope many from surround states will come and I extend a warm welcome from all at the MD and NC meets to join in!

I have volunteered to be the food wrangler for the meet to take some of the burden off of SailorLibra, so if anyone has special dietary restrictions (vegetarian, food allergies, etc...) please let let me know as soon as you're sure you're going. That way we can plan some yummy goodies for you too.

I can't wait. I think I'm getting hungry already!

What is the date for this one? Can we add this to the calendar when there is a date..... that way members can get reminders etc....

Definetly add it to the calendar! It's the next to last weekend of Aug, I think the 23rd or something. The last weekend in Aug is labor day weekend and that was hard for many to be able to attend, so I bumped it up a weekend.
