Hello everyone! Here is the 2008 UK PONYCON Events Schedule in all it's glory:

UK Ponycon '08 ~*~Party Time ~*~


Day One - Friday 10th October 2008
[for UK PONYCON forum members & their guests only - limited to 50 places]

-10am: PONYCON 08 Opens! Chatting & Swapping to commence.

-10.30am: Pony People Bingo
[Getting to know other forum members through a fun game!]

-11am: Party Games! - Part 1 [For one hour] [Prizes!]

-12pm: Lunch Hour [Time to get some nommings!]

-1pm: Speed Drawing Competition [Entry fee - £1] [Prize!]
[Please bring your own pony 'model' or use your imagination! Pens/pencils will be provided.]

-1.30pm: Speed Customising Competition [Entry fee - £1] [Prize!]
[Please bring your own bait & materials. You could even enter your result in the main competition on the Saturday!]

-2.30pm: Pony Quizzes [Entry fee - 50p] [Prize!]
[How much do you really know about MLP? Take our quizzes and find out!]
[Party themed Quiz & Cutie Mark Quiz]

-3pm: Party Games! - Part 2 [Prizes!]

-4pm: Doors close
[End of first day, see you all tomorrow!]

Day Two - Saturday 11th October 2008
[Main Day - For everyone!]

-10am: Doors open to the public.
[Trading to commence. Doors open at 8am for stallholders]

-10:30am: Official Opening - Ribbon cutting

-11:00am: My Little Pony Fashion Parade [Entry fee - £1]
[Get up on our pony catwalk (or have someone else model for you ) and dazzle the crowd with your fashion designs. Anything with an MLP theme goes. Design a tee shirt, dress as a My Little Pony or your pony persona, the choice is yours!]

-11:30am: Pony Roadshow
[A panel of MLP experts will be availiable to discuss the value of rare and unusual ponies and related items, for the first time!]

-12pm: Lunch Hour [Time to get some nommings!]

-1:30pm: Pony Weakest Link - Party Themed!
[Put your MLP knowledge to the test! Sign-ups only - 8 places]
(all questions to be birthday & party related! - must be prepared to wear a party hat )

-2:30pm: To be announced.

-3pm: Grand Pony Auction!
[Your chance to particpate in our exciting fundraising auction and win some incredible pony prizes.]

-3.30pm: Raffle Drawing & Competition Award Giving
[The raffle winners will be drawn & the winners of the following announced and awarded prizes]

-Custom Pony Supplies Stall [buy your baits & bits & bobs here!]
-Things In A Jar [entry 50p] [guess how many MLP items are in the jar & the winner receives the contents!]

-Kids Corner [complete with MLP colouring in sheets & materials! Also a good place to work on competition entries.]
-Long Suffering Innocent Bystander Competition ~ [a prize will be given to the pony fan's partner/friend/relative who can best explain why they are the most deserving long-suffering "innocent bystander". Please submit a short paragraph, the winner will be read out. Please note: Don't think you can avoid this one, long-sufferers. I was originally going to race you against each other. ~ mew]


Custom Pony Competitions - 4 categories
Entries can be made before the day as this is not a "speed" competition.
Entry fee per custom - £1
Birthday Party:
For the second year running, a category to match the convention's chosen theme. Think cake, think balloons, think PART-AY!
My Little Pony of Past & Present:
The basic idea of this competition is to make customs based around any Hasbro pony, G1, G2 or G3, as this has been a popular theme with customisers around the world of late. Just think how cute a baby Rapunzel would be!
General Category:
Exactly as the title says! Miscellanous custom ponies here, please.
Kids Category:
Any entries for those little artists aged between 0 - 12. Feel free to enter your customs in a category it fits into best, if you like.

My Little Pony Scene Competition:
Entry fee per scene - £1
Design & make your own pony scene! Make a setting for your ponies, any size, any materials, and add your ponies! Or customize an existing MLP building. Maybe you could make some cute little outfits for them, or maybe you'd like to make your own nursery for your baby ponies? Then get going, pony fans! Feel free to base your scene around your own customised pony!

Pony Beauty Pagent
Entry fee per pony ~ £1
A definite favourite from previous years. Take one of your ponies and pretty them up, fancy hair, squeaky clean, let's see what you can do!

My Little Pony Art Competition:
Entries can be made before the day as this is not a "speed" competition.
Entry fee per piece - £1
There will be both a children's (0 -12 again) and adults category, make a piece of pony art using any media you like, crayons, paint, collage, sculpture, photography, embroidery - anything you can think of - be as creative as you like!
