Anyone interested in a Lansing Michigan pony meet?

I live just outside of Lansing and was thinking it would be fun to host a meet at my house.....especially since my pony room is almost done! I used to do this many years ago when I was known as Up UP and Away and I always had a great turn out. I was thinking mid summer. If anyone would be interested please let me know!

Your Pony Meets were awesome! I don't know if your remember me, but my friend Kat and I, from Ontario, came back in 2002 and 2003. Oh those were good times.

Crazy kanucks who brought the KinderEggs and laughed at the Swedish Pron.

I remember your pony room too. You were just getting started. But we literally took over your house with ponies. I can' believe its been 8 years! I know a couple of my friends might be interested in going. I know I would be!

Depends on when it is - I am planning on going to the Fair in July so getting two weekends off at work might be a little tough. I had a meet last year at my house and only got three people to come :(

If it's far enough away from the fair I might consider it.

Oh my gosh Flicker I do remember!!! My neighbors were SO upset because we blocked the road and had cars all over the lawn. It was awesome!!! We've since moved from that house and now we live more in the country so cars all over the place won't be a problem. And now I have a properly finished basement with plenty of room for everyone to spread out

Ivy, I was thinking the same thing. I was thinking maybe late August or early September....really whatever works best for everyone who's interested. I plan to attend the fair this year as well so I don't want it too close to that either

I'll PM you both once I figure out the details and see who else might be interested!

There are calls for a MI meet on the Arena; people are volunteering Lansing as the good middle ground but no one on the Arena is in Lansing. So I'm popping my head in over here...

Cricket (Up Up and Away?) are you still willing to host? Cuz that sounds GREAT!

Hi All; I'd be really interested in attending a MI pony meet. I'm in Rochester Hills, and would be willing to drive to Lansing, Ann Arbor, Port Huron (that's where you are isn't it Ivy?), all of those are doable. I would prefer it in Spring or early Fall, as to not compete with the Pony Fair in July. Would love to meet more pony folk from Michigan! Thanks for volunteering to host Cricket, sounds like you're a pro! Please keep me on your list when/if you do set a date! I'm most often on the Arena, and as was previously stated, there are several folks wanting to setup a MI meet on there too!

Early fall is looking like a better time - we've been having a lousy spring this year. Just make sure it's not the same weekend as Michigan's Nascar race. :P
