My name is in Cosmopolitan :)

Just a shameless plug, hehe.

A few issues ago I read an article on "Why Women Cheat"

Some of the stories were just aweful, and I'm against any type of cheating as it is. So the next day I hoped online and wrote to Cosmopolitan. My mom called the other day and told me that my letter is in Cosmo! So if you've picked up the latest issue (Eva Mendes is on the cover) just look in the Letter's to the Editor section under Girls Gone Wild, and you'll see my letter.

Thats so cool! I love cosmo, so I will def. pick up a copy. I wrote to a now defunct Teen magazine(is it still around?)when I was 15 and my letter got published! I even saved the copy, but it got thrown out:(

It was about how they used super thin models for there layouts, and then have a story about girls who went out of there way to be thin. eating disorders, what have you. And how they said girls need to feel better about themselves. I basically called them hypocrites(It was so long ago, so I can only recall bits and pieces)And they published it! I also believe in the same issue that my letter was in, there was a spread that had thin and plus sized models. -wishes she still had that mag-

Ergh. That kills me. I see a picture of a girl whose worked her butt off to get and keep a small figure and then I go puke and somehow I get to blame the magazine? Come on.

I got a letter published in Sports Compact Car once, but I doubt anyone here reads that, haha.

I didnt mean to offend you Merry Treats or anyone for that matter, given it was 10 years ago, and I was on the lifes not fair grrr! stage of teenage life. I have different opinions now, and I know a lot of people work hard at being thin and fit. Ive seen you, and you have a great figure! I was just giving a discription of the letter. Im still pretty amused and shocked to this day that it got published! Sorry once again!

i'm so relieved you never had the fragile self-esteem so many teenage girls have, MT. the point isn't how hard the model does or does not work to maintain such a figure. the point is that NOBODY needs to be that thin, for any reason. clothes look just as good, often BETTER, on a woman with curves than on some of these walking toothpicks magazines like to feature.
