Thats Conan (well, his nick name) and he's very proud of that body he's worked so hard to get! We met after last years convention (when he cut up his He Man outift because he felt it wasn't as good as mine was, and turned it into Conan)....he is also a wrestler, so he's used to the really skimpy kinda fruity looking fashions
I had wanted to do a mascot style suit for him, but he refused to let me cover him up! Hahahaha
And just for the record, we didn't win because of his muscles :P
We won because I did a super awesome job on the constructing (it was only my second time sewing something on the machine) of everything...and his costume was kind of like the added bonus of me going above and beyond. I have had numerous people tell me they thought it was professionally made, so that made me even happier!
I put a lo tof thought, money and time into making it perfect...right down to making two wigs because I was so unsatisfied with the first...I'll post a link to our stage act too.....it was funny
We edited old Rainbow Brite music together (where Twink is singing to Rainbow) and such...its amusing to see the dress bounce
The outfit will be worn into competition once more (I was an Aritsan, but with this win, I will now have to compete in the master level from now on! I worked my way to the top!) next summer at a different convention, and then retired from the (toronto) convention scene anyways. Probably will wear it down at the gay/pride parade too at least once (mind you, I am sure Conan probably won't want to join me in his Twink costume...lmao)
I will have to try and think of some way to out do myself again for next year....it will probably be 80's and or cartoon related. I find them the most challenging, and fun to do!
