Hey guys!
I make costumes (last year I was He Man, some of you might remember it from the interview I did for "The Hour"....where nice people at the arena mocked me) Well I have given them more to mock! Haha! And proud of it!!
This costume was intense, and I wanted it to look like the cartoon (as much as I could look cartoon-ie) with the yarn hair look of the doll (cause lets face it, those dolls from the 80's were kinda lame-o with the clothes) My boyfriend was Namor for most of the weekend, but somehow I managed to convince him to be my "Twink" (or my twisted Twink!)
Technically, this was my second sewn costume on the machine....and I used a vintage RB costume pattern for help (bought off ebay) but I did change quite a bit from the pattern...not to mention it was sized for a 7 year old! Hahahaha
Many hundreds of dollars later, I was satisfied...and yes, I did make the wig myself
Completely sewn onto a wig base that I hacked the hair off from. LOL
There were at least 60 entries in the masquerade....and we won "Best in Show" (period!) WOW! I was *uber* surprised as there were some AWESOME costumes there!!
