Oh I have a few! One of my best friends named her son Fox. I also have a step daughter named Allysyne. No one ever knows how to pronouce it, but it's just Allison spelled weird. She's 13 now and hates that no one gets it right.
My husband also told me that the people who own Lear Jets named their daughter Crystal Chanda Lear. That is just mean! Then there was a pediatrician in town while I was growing up named Thomas Thomas Thomas. How original!

some names that celebrities call their children make me raise a brow though - I just can't imagine calling a child apple.

My sis-in-law works in the front office of an elementary school, so she tells me all the weird and outlandish names. They have one family with three boys; Hunter, Trigger, and Bow (spelt just like that, not Bo, not Beau, Bow). There's a boy in my son's cub scout den named Dylanger.

And, I'm sorry, Crystal Chanda Lear? What is she, a stripper?

My brother and sis-in-law have named their children after cities; Brooklyn, Sydney, and Austin. Not unusual themselves, just an odd theme, I think.

Apple, Coco, Jet, Rumor, Scout... just wait, someday someone is going to get the bright idea to name their kid Door or Window or Sofa. These sound like good pet names, though.
I can jsut hear it now... "Hey, End Table! I told you to stop hitting Coffee Table!"

It's as if people have their heads stuck in a fantasy book or a movie when they think of these names. Different names are cool and all, but you're not naming your pet. You're naming a child. I hate made-up names and word names (for example "Rebel"). It's just stupid.

Well, my husband's name is Mike Hunt I don't know what his parents were thinking.
Another funny name is my aunt's: Wanda Viola. Separately I guess they are okay, but together it seems so strange to me. Like a disease or something.

there was also a boy named sterling which I also thought went with him well.
I babysat a girl named sky and she had a friend named summer.

I actually think Stormy is a pretty name. She had long pretty dark hair, so it fit her perfectly.
