:-/ I'm sorry, but to me the faces on the actual dolls make them look like Stepford wives; no personality!! I like the faces on the cartoon drawings of them--those have personalities and seem more alive. I wish they'd captured that on the dolls like the old 1980s dolls did. :(

I kinda like the leggy horses though. No accounting for taste LOL

Whoa! I was not expecting the dolls to look like that. I don't know if I like it or not, it's just different. Oddly enough, this makes me long for my old Rainbow Bright dolls.

I like them, but there's something about the horses front leg, it doesn't seem to quite right, but that's just from an artistic point of view.

OMG...I just watched the animation....uh...the original cartoon is much better in all ways. Better voice actors, better animation, better stories....and Starlite's voice is much more uh...handsome? Maybe?

********

News flash - A young woman was found unconcious on the floor of her home. The police found the inside of the house colored in rainbows and sparkles. The retro 80s cartoon DVD collections of MLP, Rainbow Brite, Lady Lovely Locks and the Pixietails, Care Bears, Popples, Strawberry Shortcake, Huggables, and She-ra Princess of Power were playing all at once on multiple players and flat screens. Candies and cookies that were popular during the 80s were also found all throughout the house half eaten in a hurry. The doctors suspect the young woman went into a hypnotic trance as she painted the whole inside of the house. Before she went into a seizure before going in coma.

Culture shock, over induced sugar coated 80s overload to coma.

ROFLMAO

I'm glad the horses aren't plush or have yarn hair (that's what kept me from collecting Rainbow Brite as a kid) but the pose just looks wrong. I agree with HeavyHooves--that front leg is SO wrong. . . .I think the tails would look tons better if they were longer. I'll have to see them in person before I decide if I'll pick one up or not.

I WISH they would have used the old Barbie horse mold like they did at some point in the past (dunno when, I think a later release of Starlite and Sunriser, maybe even foreign since I have read they're rare. I don't know Rainbow Brite toy info very well though). I ADORE that mold!

I also watched the animation on the website. . . . I'm hoping the choppyish animation is 'cause of the media and maybe that they're not going really high quality since it's a backstory webpage animation type thing. Starlite sounds so wrong. His voice is WAY too deep now with none of the arrogance intrinsic (sp?) to his character.

I do love the colors and curls in the two mares though. Sunriser in particular has lovely colors in her mane and tail.
