Thank you, Sunnie!
Shame I haven't been around to let it be seen. I love it, too.

I take it as a compliment that they're re-releasing the toys we grew up with. They apparently can't get their creative juices flowing enough to come up with new ideas that stick, so go back to what worked 20 years ago!

All I can say is "UGH! Boy, are they ugly!" **hides behind trash can lid to avoid projectiles**
I had a Rainbow Brite doll when I was younger. I also had Canary Yellow and Rainbow's sprite, whatever his name was. I liked the way they looked back then. Now, I have to agree with LadyJasmine when she says that they are trying to make every retro doll the same shape and size; tall, thin, overly "mature" looking. What happened to the sweet little kids who saved the world without having to pause and pose with their chests and bums stuck out? Why not bring back Rainbow Brite and the Color Kids as they were in the 80's? I'm sure they would sell more of them to the children of the 80's that are now parents and their kids. Why make our little girls grow up faster than they need to?
Sorry for the rant... My daughter has Bratz and Barbies, but she fully understands that no person can actually look like that. Why try to force a more grown-up version of a beloved toy onto us when we would be just as happy with the original?

I think La La Orange, Patty 'O Green, Canary Yellow, and Shy Violet were killed, chopped up, and parts were contributed to lengthening Rainbow, Tickled Pink, and Moon Glow's bodies and limbs. It would explain why they're not around. Who knows what happened to Red Butler, Buddy Blue, and Indigo.
