We were one of the last countries to get rid of slavery, so it doesn't really surprise me.

But I really hope something like this comes around and gets into people's heads and knocks some sense into this sheltered, overly religious country. This was very well done and touching. Thank you for sharing.

Some day the world will be an easier place for certain people like this. And then maybe my friend Jarrod could get married to the man he loves. I remember months ago we talked about it and he told me he "accepted the fact that he would probably be alone forever". ;_; what?! no!

I just don't understand why government should deny anyone the right to marry whomever they choose. There are a lot of straight couples I've known who had terrible marriages, who stayed together for all the wrong reasons....why are these people allowed to be married over a gay couple. I'm not saying that gay couples have any less problems than straights, I'm sure we all have relationship issues but I just don't think it's fair or any of the governments buisness.
