Your a really good person going out of your way to help her, sadly not everyone would do that.
I hope you can find her a sweet home.

She ate the gravy off her food last night but wouldn't eat anything else. So, back to the vet today for a more agressive appetite stimulant. She's also not drinking or pooping. I think her poor shattered teeth hurt her too much. :(
Buddafly - I am so afraid to touch her poor mouth. I dabbed some food on her paws instead and she looked at me like I'd just tried to kill her or something and managed to wipe it off without eating. My other cats would be beside themselves trying to lick it off. Maybe she's smarter than they are. It wouldn't be too hard a stretch. I tried the excited feeding and she just rolled over and purred on her back, so I think she's just hurting too much. Maybe the vet will give her a supplement of some kind and be able to do surgery NOW.
On a more positive note, since she's leukemia negative, she got to meet my handsome ginger man, Slick, last night. She was, and remains, unimpressed but he's in love.

Cat might be too traumatized to eat maybe? I know you have many kitties so I'm sure you understand cat behavior very well. I hope she comes around, but the vet will inject fluids under the skin to prevent dehydration, they did that to my dog when she got sick. She had this big hump back lmao until the fluid was absorbed.
I think she just needs some time and if you say her mouth is injured that might be another reason.

Oh, poor sweetheart!! Just the idea that someone could toss her out of a car makes me steaming mad, so I hope she "just" got lost. SO glad you stopped and rescued her. Her mouth must hurt so much... Hope she will feel well enough to get something in her soon.

Well she'll deign to eat tuna in broth, but only after I microwave it for her. She's lucky she's injured, because I don't tolerate such demands from the OTHER cats, lol!
Back to the vet on Wednesday, she got another fentanyl patch (possibly stronger, based only on how HAPPY she is) and a steroid shot. She finally pooped in the car on the way there, so we're good for a while on that front. She ate the tuna when she got home and was eating more of it when I left for work today.
She remains unimpressed by Slick, and was similarly unimpressed by Stevie and Fuzzy. Flora and Ember have not come by to say hello yet, but Em is so strung out on Prozac she likely doesn't care.

Aw Skeen, you are such a wonderful person for saving Jupiter. Poor sweetie pie. I'm so glad she's starting to eat, even if she is fussy about it. . I love kitties and wish I could take her but I live pretty far from you and already have three kitties. That's one kitty too many for my lease, but Ivory always hides from people so the landlord only ever sees two!

I think as the cat feels better it won't be so picky. right now I'm sure she feels like poop, but I'm glad to hear she's eating. I will never understand why people dump pets off.

She's eating fairly well, though only fish-flavored varieties of food. Not drinking though. A lady from a local cat organization called me today and offered me a case of Jupiter's food and a few bags of litter, which is awesome, since Jupiter has special kinds of both that my cats do not use. She couldn't take Jupiter, but is working with other area organizations to find a place for her.
In the meantime she is safe, healing well, and currently sleeping on my bed.

Would this be another version of "mission creep"?? Lol
So glad to hear she's coming along nicely and that people are looking for a home for her!
