Oh, I'm so sorry I missed you original post, too. I tend not to read any of the RIP or death ones. They always make me cry. It pains me so much when people lose family members, including the furry ones.

I think you'll find the community is still a very caring and safe place just not nearly as active as it once was. You'll have plenty of help and advice when you're ready to post your ponies.

If you remember the categories of your ponies (Twinkle Eyed, Rainbow, etc), I think a good way to start would be grouping the sets together and taking a picture. Then, we could help you identify them and give you a general pricing idea.

So sorry about all the other pet losses :( It's difficult to remember that I'm not he only one losing something when I'm in pain, but my heart goes out to you guys.

I'm having problems finding someone to draw my tattoo for me, but have a post out in our ferret group on facebook hoping that someone will volunteer for me. Until then, I'm putting away a little money here and there for my ink and our trip.

Unfortunately, I went through my stuff to start separating the keep ponies from the sell ponies, only to discover that I have NO idea where the cord for my camera is. So next week I'm gonna get one off of amazon and once it arrives, I will start getting things posted in the sell area.

Teensy, whereabouts in AK are you from?? I was born in Valdez but grew up in Wasilla. I miss it soooo much and desperately hope that my man wants to STAY when we do get to go visit.

My parents and brother are in Palmer! Wasilla's grown so much. My daughter and I spent a month there...last year or the year before. I forget. My parents try to get the two of us up every few years so they can get some quality time with the "real" Teensy Boo.

Are you sure you want to go back to Alaska? Things there have gotten pretty bad. Fairbanks is so freakin expensive now, I HAD to leave - I'm assuming Anchorage isn't much better. Several years ago you could rent a cabin with no plumbing for like $300/mo and now the same cabin still with no running water would be about $750/mo. My apartment was 280 square feet and cost $500 when I moved in, 3 years later it was over $900 and it was in the ghetto of fairbanks. My boyfriends 1 bedroom was $1300/mo :eevil:

Nothing like driving a subaru impreza that was pulling a U haul trailer out of Alaska in freakin WINTER with 1 dog, 1 chinchilla and 23 tropical fish of which only 2 made it to NY alive. The backseat window was open when it was -40 outside plus windchill from driving and all that cold was blowing on to my fish.

Unless you have shares in Arctic Slope Regional Corp and get the extra $12,000 a year dividend OR can get a job on the north slope or at UA, its not any better there then it is here.

I lost one of my pets too - Rosie, the malamute/wolf mix and puffy the chinchilla :(

I think the Ghetto and CF board still exists somewhere in cyberspace. I know the CF has a facebook page. The new pony cartoon on the HUB channel has brought in a whole new line of fans and members, many who are not too fond of the older generations.

Do you know how far you are from lake george or Queensbury, NY? it's about an hour from Rutland

PS - I also have a crappy job. They schedule me 6 days a week BUT it only comes to 20 or so hours a week. SO not worth the 60 miles a day of driving >.<

I don't miss fairbanks at all. Too many drunks all over the place.

I am very sorry for your lost. Ferrets are such sweet pets losing one must be very hard but he's now having fun on the other side of the rainbow bridge playing with all the other ferrets and waiting for you and your duo to join him~
