Yeah, that bugs me too. I reek afterwards, and when I tried epee for a little while I began to have hand problems because of the combination of the weight and my cello playing. It's worth it to me, though, just for the thrill of the bout.

I get that from pretty much everyone lol . Truth is, fencing is really underrated and in my opinion deserves more publicity than it gets. In fact, I was shocked to see that the USA Olympic flag bearer this year was a sabre fencer, actually the only woman in the world who had ever won gold in women's individual sabre, until this year. I guess fencing doesn't get as much publicity in the US because other countries tend to dominate the sport.

I had no problem with the weapon itself, because gymnastics built up my wrists.
My problem was having to use the club's armor because I couldn't afford my own
at the time. They didn't have women's sizes there at the time, and I ended up in
a boy's large which still smelled like a ripe old man baking in the sun.

I swear I saw mold growing on it the day I quit.

Alrighty in that case, I love soccer and show jumping! I haven't jumped or played soccer in ages but I love to watch them, and I am waiting in line to start agility classes with my puppy.

Oh ick. Just . . . eew. I'm very grateful for my own, which my parents got me for my birthday. My club's stuff is disgusting too, and my club is non-profit so most of the stuff is ancient.

lol you can usually tell because their grammar is terrible, or they are asking questions completely unrelated to the site, or they post links, or have a very weird interest/reply to something someone wrote.
