Friendship Drawing Contest!
Welcome to our contest, where one of the prizes is a brand new Wacom Graphics Tablet!. There are also other awesome pony prizes to be announced soon, generously provided by our very own SatinSlipper! You can win by either drawing your fellow MLPTP members and or by just getting drawn! That's right! the winning pictures will have three winners each, the artist and the two members who contribute their pony "persona" designs.
What is a persona?
Well a "persona" or a personal pony, is a pony whose color/designs/even accessories represent you or aspects of your personality. Let's say you really like dancing. They your "persona" would be a pony that represents that. It could have musical notes or disco lights as a symbol, for example. Her/his colors would be your favorite colors. Its all up to what you want her/him to look like.
How can you enter:
You can participate by offering to draw people and/or posting a detailed description and pictures (if you have them) of a persona of your own creation. No Hasbro created ponies I'm afraid. The idea is to get your creative juices running and design a pony that you fancy.
You may enter more than one persona BUT you can only have one drawn at the time. Let's say you have two personal ponies. You can have each pony drawn in a separate entries with other two ponies that belong to other people. Even if the artist agrees to draw four ponies with two ponies being your own, it will still count as one entry.
Theme:
The theme is Friendship!.
Categories:
There are two categories: Digital created/colored pieces. and Traditional created colored pieces.
Rules:
1. To be eligible, each piece must have three ponies in it. Sending in three drawings with one pony in them doesn't count. There has to be friendly interaction between the ponies, by this I mean, playing, cooking, dancing, etc. Anything that friends you think would be doing.
2. The ponies in the picture must belong to three different people. One must be the artist's creation. You may not enter three ponies belonging to you.
3. By posting the description of your pony in this thread, you are giving permission to have her/him drawn. Please be as descriptive as possible, especially if you don't have any visual references for your pony. Describing their personality also helps.
4. You must have permission from the owners of the pony to draw them (in the case you want to draw someone who didn't post in this thread). Ask them to post in this thread stating that they gave you permission.
5. You can enter as many times as you want as long as each piece submitted follows the guidelines provided. It would be better to have different ponies accompanying your own each time so more people have a chance of winning, but its totally ok to use the same three ponies in each of your entries.
7. Entries must be in before midnight eastern time on the date of the deadline.

gabyflr@gmail.com We do ask that you not post it anywhere on this site until after judging has commenced. However, if you have an online gallery outside the MLPTP.net, you may post it there. The only reason for this rule is too keep track of all the entries.
9. You may post a description of your pony(ies) at any time during the contest before the deadline, but remember that the sooner you do so, the more time you'll or others will have to draw something.
10. You may both drawn and put up a pony's description up. It is possible for you to win more than once.
Deadline:
The contest starts today!
and ends July 2nd at midnight eastern time. It will not be extended even if we only get one entry. Which would be very, very sad. Don't make us sad. *small tear* :P You'll have a month to work on your entries, so don't rush but don't wait until the last minute either. :P
Judging:
Judging will be done by community vote. After the deadline is passed and all the entries are in, they will be put up for vote for from July 3rd. to July 11th. Its a little more than a week but I wanted the winner announcement to be on a Friday more or less. There will be two polls for each category, one will be best theme representation and the other will be best overall picture regardless of theme. Then the results from each poll will be tallied and the winners determined.
The Grand Prize winner will be the piece with the most votes, second and third places will be the pieces following in vote count for each category.
Prize claiming:
The artist of the first place winning entry will get to choose first, then the owners of the two other ponies in the picture will get to choose. Then the same will be done for second and third place. For a total of 15 potential winners!
