Havent been here in a year...Whats with prices?

Wow! last time I was here pony prices were nuts! I havent bought any G1 ponies in a year or two.I thought Id check it out today and I was FLOORED! I feel rich! Ponies I would have killed for a couple years ago are going for a fraction of what they used to. Example : baby CJ BIN 20.00 no bids! What! I cant believe it! I feel like maybe I can replace my collection with ease! When did all this happen or start happening?

Prices have been dropping for a while, but they're near rock bottom right now. I wish I had money to buy ponies, I would be hitting ebay every day.

I think it might be the G3's. A lot of collectors are trying to get them, and it's easy to spend a lot of money on them since you can find them in lots of stores. So maybe there isn't as much money left to drive G1 prices up.

When they first came out, a lot of G1 collectors were selling their collections to buy the G3's. I think this tapered off, but it impacting prices a little.

I don't know if prices are really rock bottom, but which ponies are popular at the moment seems to affect prices quite a bit. I've been able to get a few ponies that were very popular a couple of years ago off of Ebay pretty cheap as no one was bidding on them.

Just wondering what prices are like on ebay at the moment?

Isnt it nearing tax return time? and prices will rise?

Actually tax time is over, so prices should begin to fall again. Everyone who got refund probably has spent it by now, lol.

I was assuming that the people who file at the last minute are the ones who have to pay, lol. We get a refund, so I file seconds after my husband's W2's are released, rofl.

This year was great, too bad we had some huge expenses that ate it all up
