Question about rainbow ponies movie?

I remember when I was a kid that on the firefly video there was a commercial for the rainbow ponies video. Does anyone have screenshots of that? Did it ever come out? I really like the rainbow ponies and was wondering if anyone had pictures from the video. Thanks

Ahhh, the fabled Rainbow Ponies preview. Yes, it was on the Firefly video and no, it never came out. :( Sad. It exists as preview only.

last time this was brought up here (and the time before.. ) people were talking about the possibility that it was Ember's Dream in video form, since she's jealous of the rainbow pony's beauty, or something. I've never heard the tape so I can't tell you myself.

I've been thinking that myself - Hasbro probably planned to make a movie out of Ember's Dream, that would also explain the several issues of Ember herself.
I wish they'd made it though, it would have been an adorable movie

If only one could go back in time and find out (and get LOTS of ponies )!

Oh that sucks. It looked like a really neat movie too. I never thought of the movie as being the movie for the book embers dream. But now that you all have said that I can totally see what you mean. Does anyone have the preview on dvd? Can someone upload the preview for me possibly on youtube? I'd love to see the preview again.

Yeah but the movie I was talking about had just rainbow ponies in it. And the opening was suppost to look just like fireflys adventure just with all rainbow ponies. It didn't ever come out sadly. :(

Hasbro in a nutshell, I'd say...

Just think about all the released photos and booklets with G1s or playsets etc that never actually were produced :roll:

Hasbro has made more bloopers - Jem & the Holograms had a full-lenght movie planned, but because Hasbro had higher hopes for their Transformers and G.I. Joe movies, the actual work on Jem the Movie was postponed.
Then when the Transformers movie flopped big time, Hasbro decided to only release G.I. Joe the Movie on video and then sacked the idea of a Jem movie completely. Baah, Hasbro...
