The Price of MOCs on Ebay

Are these increasing or am I imagining things.......

In my usual ebay completed search.... This one stood out.....

Very high price.....

MOC Taf Yum Yum Auction

What are your opinions on the prices of G1 MOC ponies on ebay...

These appear to be rising fast.....

I'm assuming because people are starting to get their tax rebate checks. I'm looking forward to seeing what MLPs starting going up to in the next 6 weeks or so.

Oooh, that's the first time I've seen TAF Yum Yum MOC. I've been looking for her that way for years so I'm not surprised it went for that price.

Wow, that's a lot. But I'm not sure what the average price would be.

I knew you'd post about that one SS

I was runner up and absolutely stunned that I didn't win as I bid about $100 more than I thought she'd go for. So, so wrong.

Yes MOC prices are way up. Nothing to do with tax rebates though, as I know a number of people who are bidding and all of us are trying to complete sets or get that HTF MOC pony. It's just timing out that way. If you can find something for under $80 it's a steal. I hunt day and night for MOC G1s and I bid on nearly all of them (those that I need that is) so I am all too familiar with the prices.

Yum Yum was this expensive because she is part of the 2nd TAF set and we know how hard Nightglider and Munchy are to come by. She is now on her way up. White pony, pink hair and a 2nd set TAF. All the makings of a very in demand pony. Put her on card and watch her price go through the roof.

The lowest I've paid for MOC ponies is around the $30 mark but those were due to fluking a poorly timed auction or getting one from outside US ebay.

I finally counted the other day and I have 71 MOC/MIB/MIP ponies at present with another 20 coming (in the post). So I'm getting to the point of having a reasonable collection of these girls and it is such an expensive exercise. But very worthwhile when you see them displayed.

Hi everyone^_^
I think that is also because lately U.S. ebay is a good source for all the european collectors since the dollars is so low.
And a lot of "new" and "wary" collectors may ends in more bidding wars^_^
Also, i've noticed that there are less ponies and MOC ponies lately on ebay, and for the collectors that are not in any community ebay it's their only "marketplace" so they may be a little more aggressive.
Just my two cents^_^
M!

*screams and pulls hair out!!!!* She was the last TAF from that set that I need MOC and I missed it!!! Ugh, this is what happens when I have to work and forced myself to stop looking at ebay:( I'm so glad she went to a member *super jealous* but I don't think I would've expected her to go so high. I have been searching ebay for 3 year for one of those and the last one I missed went for $88 so I'd say her price jumped considerably! MOC's have been really hard to get at afforable prices lately...and in that, i mean under a $100!

I think in addition to the dollar being on the low right now, there are also more members who are collecting MOC's. I know of a few in particular who have the money and want all their ponies mint, so what better way to get a mint pony, eh?

Either way, I don't think the price was really bad for her. A bit of a bidding war, yes, but it could easily have been worse!

I can't wait to get her in!

Like I said, *so jealous!* And you're right, had I seen that auction the bidding coulda been much worse, lol. But major congrats sweetie! Sheza gem for sure! I just love that bright pink hair! I'm glad to see a member who's not going to open her get her.
