OOooh. well, so these are a collaboration of...two mega-forces of...uh...well in Baltimore we call them Hons.(pronounced "huns", as in "how ya doin, Hon?)) So I guess you could call these Honz. heres a definition for you from the Honfest 2008 website for those of you who aren't familliar with the Hon phenomenon;

"The term Hon is actually a friendly Baltimore greeting and comes from the word honey. Around here, however, the women who vie to become Baltimore’s Best Hon are a vision of the sixties-era. They are women with beehive hairdos, bright-blue eye shadow, spandex pants and anything with leopard print!"

That seems like an incomplete definition to me, but good enough for you to get the mental picture and transpose it onto these Antelopez.

Well, I for one like them...I think they are pretty. And really no different then what real people do to real horses for shows and stuff.

Yes, horses aren't suppossed to be wearing high heels, dresses, etc...but horses are also not suppossed to wear pads on their feet (TN Walkers), have their whiskers and ears shaved, and wear fancy blankets all the time.

So all is relative...I for one like them and think they are cute. I would let me children (ages 7 and 5) play with them if they liked them and had them...they love Bratz and they get to play with Bratz (heck I like the Bratz myself...much more than regular Barbie..but My Scene Dolls are our favs)

Barbie is just as ****ty as the Bratz now.

I've seen these at TRU out my way. They are kinda cute I guess. I'd like to get one to open it up to just see how it is.

they kinda remind me of modern FashionStar Fillies with all the frilly clothes and accessories and whatnot. I mean the starburst sunsuit...that's kinda sassy. Though I do think their expressions are too seductive, the shoes are odd as well....

Cattrah you read my mind! I saw them and thought of Fashion Star Fillies crossed with Bratz (both of which I love by the way)

*High fives Nixiefee* I adore My Scenes too!

So back on subject....I have to say I really like them. Would I buy them for a young girl? Maybe not but that could be because I would want to keep them!

I however don't find the outfits offensive in anyway but mainly because they are on horses. There is, for me a big difference between them and dolls as dolls can be compared more directly with younger girls - hope that makes some kind of sense!

Love

I've been debating picking up some evertime I pass them at Walmart, for a few months now at least. They are wierd looking but kind of endearing. I don't like the pose with the open mouth, plus I wonder if they would look prettier without the hooker clothes? I've never been a fan of clothes on animals anyway. I've never been brave enough to get one, maybe if I find them on clearance....

*is amazed it took this long for some one to post about them*

No way

All I have to say is that they should have called them "Whorses" because that's what they look like to me. Toys these day! Yikes!
