I was hoping they were just a bad dream or a rumour, alas no such luck. They're not as terrible as I first thought, but they'll never be MLPs to me, even if they bear the hasbro name and logo..
I do like the way that one pinky pie's hair is doing a major Veronica Lake impression though :P The one on the bottom left

Some of them look really messily made...I see glue on the seams of wings and tails...bleck. One of the pinkie pies looks like Chuckie. They're just so ugly in general ):

They might have been cute as baby ponies, but as adults? No thanks.

I'm not too fond of these. They remind me of that image we saw a year or so ago of them with funny hairstyles. I kinda like the cheerlie/cherryblossom, but I'm going to have to see her in person before I make my final decision. As of right now, looks like another year of not buying any ponies.

Yeah..
Yeah I don't think I like them. I will wait and make my final choice once I see them in person because these do look like prototypes to me. The styling pinkie pie scares the crap out of me though, she just looks so out of porportion, that and the stuffed starsong with the hard head. She looks like something ran her over.
The newborns are growing on me though, so maybe I will scale my collection down to just those. I guess this just means saving more money!

I agree. I think they are way too weird looking.
