alt packaged singles

imagine my surprise when i found REAL MLP in big lots the other day

i know a few years ago stores like big lots and family dollar had a bunch of ponys like this, so i thought i'd say that they're doing it again. they had only core 7 minus Toolaroola and Starsong. each comes packaged like this and with a brush.

i just thought it was awesome. so i got pinkie and dyed her red XD

Are these new? I saw them two weeks or so ago, $5 each with a brush on a backcard and thought they looked a bit cheap- no tinsel or glitter and just the pony and the symbol, I didn't buy any. Guess they could be great for bait though, now that normal ponies are hitting $7 each

They are a newer release, like the Budget Sweet Song, etc later. Just another way for Hasbro to make people buy more ponies.

$7 each? The Walmarts here have the prices at $5 for single boxed ponies, the single Newborn Cuties, & mini Ponyville set. ._. I saw those at the Big Lots here too, I really wasn't motivated to buy them either since I didn't see the point. Now if they were before the Core 7 I would have dropped some money for them, lol.
