Is there a reason they can't leave the form of the overall pony alone? G1s and G3s looked like actual ponies. G2s looked like four legged lizards and now these G4s look like something that can't be taken seriously. Reminds me of the Ponyville ponies...

I'm not against them doing a side thing, but doing it to the main line of ponies???

I can only speak for myself when I say that I'm more inclined to buy ponies that look like ponies. I'm not very thrilled with the extremely large eyes and heads. For some reason I really don't find them cute. Perhaps its the Vet tech in me, since I find normal ponies/horses cute enough!

*Although the babies of G1 get me all the time!*

I actually bought my Winter Sweetie Belle from TRU back in late August...early September. I don't know why they were put out so early, But I'm not complaining I loved the snowflake barettes & couldn't help myself!

wow I didn't know we were calling these G4s. It makes sense, I guess. I was excited for G4 but I HATE HATE HATE how they look now... :( the least they could do is change core 7. Is it really that hard to pick seven new ponies? They already have over 400. they don't even have to go to the effort of making new ones up.

*sigh...*

When I was at Target today, they had a pony game in the seasonal aisle. It's a cloth game board that comes with four of the old style Ponyville figures.

I'm still not totally sold on the 'Alien Ponies' (as I call the G3.5s), and I really didn't intend on getting more than one of each character, but I must say her snowglobe packaging and accessories are cute!

I saw those too at my target yesterday. I was kinda tempted since they are the older ponyville. So you remember who was included.... I can't right now.
