Have you ever considered hosting it online so that it streams, but charging for access to it? You could host it on a certain coded webpage (a link with gibberish, like mylittleobession.com/djdfuh234df0932kjbc2ucdb23089yufkjb2308yu/ ) and every week on Sunday night or something, pull the file and host it on a different randomized page. And people could pay a flat fee to have access to it in that one week's time. Like pay-per-view.
Thank you for the suggestion However, I've already sold at least 50 copies, and based on those sales and the demand for sale of actual DVD's that I'm continuously getting through email and PM, I'm not really motivated to stream it at this time. I also do not have the time for the maintenance of a system like that.

So, I'm afraid that if you want to see it, you'll have to purchase a DVD for yourself once they're available through the website

Yay! I'm so excited to get to watch my copy this week.

But lemme say these few things: One, I hope everyone who wants to see it gets a copy! And two, I'm so freaking proud of you I have no adequate way to express it. But you already know!

How much do you plan on charging for the DVDs?

You're all out of luck ABC! Jewel put a ton of work into this over a very long time, so she deserves to have lots of sales. Trust me it's more than worth it.

We're so proud of you and proud to know you sweetpea!

It was a great movie and well worth only 10 bucks. It's nice for you Jewel to get back even a fraction of what you put into it! I mean gosh....you drove out of state, took hours of footage, even got to interview amazing people and see prototypes...it's awsome how much went into this!
Heck the blooper reel alone was worth the 10 bucks to me! LOL!
I don't think you will have a problem selling them!

I'd definitely be interested in purchasing the DVD if it happens to be released for region 4 at some point ^_^

Then I guess you won't be seeing it anytime soon, will you?

Your response is SO incredibly insulting to Jewel as a filmmaker and to anyone who is a creator.

She spent HOURS traveling to get the footage needed just for the interviews this piece for her senior thesis. She got an A in it because she spent months interviewing, editing, cutting and pasting just so everything would flow beautifully in the film, which, btw, it DID.

For me to be able to show this to my mom when I got home from the Fair, to show her I'm not the only Pony collector in the world, THAT is worth $10 to me.

Please, go right ahead and tell anyone who has made a masterpiece that they're aren't worth the money they're asking for so they can recoup their costs and you know, EAT. I'd love to see if their responses are any different from mine.

Of course it's worth $10!!! Where else can you see this wide array of material handled with this kind of consideration? Put together not as a joke or a gee wiz look at these freaks, not as a 10 min spot on a show that could care less but to portray us as oddities, but as a sincere, thoughtful, insightful and often funny peek into our world.

This is a pony collector's dream and MBJ never asked for a penny to put this together which surely cost her a ton. She will probably never even recoup the cost of travel let alone the cost of the actual film material, equipment and the 16 months of her time and DAILY effort.

*edited to remove spoiler content* Trust me, there is TONS of stuff in this film~

ALL IN ONE PLACE! No roaming around youtube for hours to find snippets. This is invaluable if for no other reason than to be able to share it with your friends and family who might not really "get it" or understand your collecting. How many times have you wished there was an easy way to show this? How many times have you thought, "I need a book I can give people when I meet them so I don't have to explain all the time LOL".

Live streaming with weekly pay per view would be such a headache I don't even want to think of it myself. Besides, why pay for one week when you can pay once and have it for life?

Oh yeah, and supporting the artist. You buy movies? Go to the movies? Pay out the nose to watch a movie one time? How about pay for an individual song or even album? Why should this be viewed differently? Would anyone even ask why buy this if it was done by some big production company? Do you buy custom MLP that don't take but a fraction of the time to create?

Really, why would anyone hesitate for a moment to wonder if this was worth 10 bucks?

Oh yeah, and the 50 copies MBJ already sold were to people who already saw the film and obviously thought it was worth owning so they could see it again.
