Clean them up before selling?

Hi!

We snagged a lot of 50 ponies from eBay, and they all need a good bath and hair clean up... but I plan to re-list about 15 of them... will they sell better once cleaned up or is it worth the effort?

They are all g3s, good condition, just need some TLC

L

That's definitely one of the things I look for when I buy. When I buy ponies, the last thing I want to do is clean them up. I'd rather set it in front of me and stare at it for a while.

Great thanks! I am having fun doing hair and bodies, so it isn't a hardship... it isn't until I clean them up that I find out if we are keeping them (little does my daughter know... she thinks they are ALL STAYING LOL).

I would think that they would sell better with a little TLC. Plus it sounds like you and your daughter are having fun.
Good Luck!

My friend and I buy ponies on budget, meaning a lot of our ponies come in with supreme frizz and pretty dirty!

My friend is a whizz at cleaning up ponies (primarily because it's a calming hobby for her!) and after through her thorough (yet gentle!) salon job they look like they're worth at least $10 more (in our opinion :P).

Make that a tip for selling - and buying with only a little in your pocket!

As far as G3s go, I just make sure they don't look completely ratty, a little played with is fine, afterall, they're only a few years old, and usually not super dirty.

G1 and G2s I always give a deep thorough cleaning and hair styling to.
