Just clothes out of paper. My ponies use to be pets for my Maple Town figures.

Oh yea, I used to make all kinds of stuff for them.
Megan and Molly even got they're own apartments. I turned a whole self into they're bedrooms. I made one for Danny in hopes they'd make a danny doll...but sadly we never got a danny.

Nah, if Hasbro didn't release it or Barbie didn't have it, my ponies didn't get it!

Heck, yea, I made stuff. I still do! I make houses, clothes, display cases, travel bags (accessories for my ponies when they travel with me), furniture, etc., etc., etc. It's a lot of fun.

Thank you all so much for continuing to share your pony memories (and in some cases ongoing creativity!) with me! I totally enjoy hearing about it. IMO, I think that those of us who made things and/or had things made for us by family as I'm also reading, seem to have more attachment to them. Something about MAKING the stuff appears to have made it just that little bit more special for many. I know personally, that when I got the Sweet Shoppe and the Baby Bonnet School of Dance in my later years, I ALWAYS reverted to and preferred the box houses. Just something about that dollhouse-type play ... and making beds and tables out of any small, rectangular things I could find... really ignited my imagination.
And Pikapal.... I remember Maple Town! They were the tiny animal families, right??

This was such a great idea for a thread! Thanks for posting! Just writing about and sharing my memories brought me back to playing ponies on the living room rug with my sister. And hearing about others' reminds me of my own experiences. This thread is like a time capsule for us all to share our best pony memories, so I can't thank you enough for this great topic.

Reading this thread I remembered that I also used to build little houses for my ponies out of shoe boxes. I think a few of them would be in a shoe box, divided up with other bits of cardboard. Some of them had proper stables made out of boxes with little name plates I also made out of card on them. I think this was MLPs, although it could have been any of the miriad of small horse-related toys I used to have.
Still, I have a terrible memory before the age of about 11, so it's nice when these things manage to jog it! Collecting MLPs has brought back lots of memories like that, I discovered I used to have a Tonka horse as well as a child, one of those garish purple lockable things. Now of course I want another one, haha.

I never really played with MLP's when I was little, but I had tons of horse figures! I would build little houses for them out of boxes and paper towel rolls, as well as figure out who would marry who, and which clan was at war with another, ha ha!
It was loads of fun, even if I didn't have real toys or MLP's.

Not really... but I would like to now! :)
My ponies never seemed to want houses or such.(This may have had something to do with the fact that my mum wasn't particularly fond of the mess that came with art and craft. ) However I have been thinking recently o knitting them little scarves.
