Spa Pony (and other new surprise bag sized) Toys Coming?

This one popped up on Taobao this week. Looks pretty official doesn't it? So, maybe we'll be seeing spa ponies in a future three-pack along the lnes of the Apple family, Cloudsdale and Wedding sets? I could totally imaguine a set with Rarity packed with her two spa buddies (who could be teh same mold painted two different ways). Exciting!

Someone found Zecora over on eBay as well.


She's not "obviously" connected to one character: Faust said that she's supposed to be a second mentor to Twilight, but Twi already has a pack. Perhaps they'll do an Everfree Forest pack? Or just a random pack, or friends of the ponies.

As far as Zecora goes... Maybe with Apple Bloom? She was the one who discovered Zecora was nice. But thy might want to do a Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Cherilee set. Although I don't know how much smaller they can make blind bags to fit younger ponies (as a side note, a school set would be cool, like with Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Featherweight, Snips and Snails, etc.). Or maybe Zecora will be with other ponies who don't "fit in" as much, like the Cakes. Then again, Pinkie doesn't have a set yet... Maybe she'll be a blind bag and not part of a set. She's cool though.

Great to see Zecora appearing and she looks fabulous. I'm impressed they're ponying up the change for some new tooling and not just repainting existing molds as has been the norm for so long. Now we just need a proper sculpted Fluttershy at this scale please Hasbro!

Re which hero ponies will appear in sets, assuming these latest reveals will follow the formula and be packaged in three-packs along with one of the mane six, I would imagine we could see some duplication, with mane sixers repacked with various secondary ponies and other friends as suits the sets in question.

Good question regarding fillies though - will they sculpt smaller characters like fillies, foals or pets or is there a choking issue there? I sguess time will tell. I wish Hasbro's Pony brand team would do a regular Q & A like they used to do for other brands like Star Wars, Marvel, Transformers and Joes.

Well here's a surprise. If taobao can be trusted, it appears Lotus (official name now), Zecora and Pinkie Pie are all packed together in a Spa Pony three-pack.



Lotus makes sense, but Zecora and Pinkie Pie? Strange choices, but oh well. Zecora is kinda huge too.

There are also images of clear crystal Wonderbolts, but I sure hope we get regular versions as well:

Those really make no sense AT ALL... I mean, I guess the girls used Zecora's brew in the Spa, but I think it's got to be a fake. If anyone's gonna be at the spa it should be Rarity and Fluttershy!

We do have one Wonderbolt in the Cloudsdale set... And clear Wonderbolts??? I LOVE TRANSLUCENTS... *grabby hands*

And yeah, agreed, Rarity belongs in this set, amd maybe the other spa twin?! Oh well.
