At the My Little Pony Trading Post we recognise and reward the hard work and outstanding contribution our customisers have given to the community.
The MLPTP is proud to announce the
Today is New Year's Eve, a time when we traditionally reflect on the past year and look forward to the newness of the next. It also gives us the chance to reward the efforts of our customisers who share with us both their hard work and talent!
Here at the My Little Pony Trading Post we want you the members to choose the customs that
you think deserve to be remembered as the
best customs of 2007. These Awards will recognise the cream of the crop for their outstanding artistry and craftsmanship in creating one-of-a-kind custom ponies.
What does this mean for you?
Well, it means that you get to nominate
any custom
unveiled on the TP in 2007. If there was a custom you remember being impressed by, or just one you really loved, then nominate it! All customs and customisers nominated will then go on to the voting round. If you're a customiser, it means one of your customs may be chosen and may win an award!
Once we reach the voting round all our members can vote for any of their choice from nominated customs in each category.
General Guidelines
Basic Rundown:
1.) Based on the categories listed below, any member can nominate a custom they think deserves to take the title. Nominations are taken by private message (PM) to the Username: CustomAwardsNominations . The layout for a nomination by PM can be found in the below guidelines.
2.) Nominations by PM will be taken until Wednesday, January 16th, 2008 at 12:00PM PST
3.) All nominations will be checked and organised by the Admin and Moderators, and soon thereafter several posts will be made in the MLPTP Community Custom of the year Awards forum. Each post will be titled by category (one post for each of the six) and will contain all nominations made in the said category.
4.) The nominations will then be opened to voting. All members are allowed to vote for the nominee that they think best represents the category.
5.) Voting will close on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 12:00PM PST, so be sure to cast your votes before then!
6.) Winners will be announced and celebrations will commence. Awards and Prizes will be sent out to the winners!
General Rules:
1.) Custom creator (customiser) must be a MLP Trading Post member.
2.) Custom must have been unveiled/completed between Jan.1, 2007 and Dec. 31, 2007.
3.) A photo of the custom must be available for viewing.
4.) Any individual must make no more than 2 nominations per category.
5.) You may not nominate your own custom.
6.) Each custom is eligible for only one category and custom of the year.

Custom of the year Overall (Similar to Best In Show; winner will likely take one other ribbon from the categories below.)
Customizer of the Year (Person who exhibits the most all-around excellence.)
Custom of the Year - Hasbro Inspired (Anything with a symbol that Hasbro designed, or a varation on an offical hasbro pony.)
Custom of the Year - Non-Hasbro Inspired (Everything else; traditional materials paint + hair.)
Custom of the Year -Elaborate (Sculpted, additions of jewels and ornaments etc -- including pairs and groups.)
Custom of the Year - Original Concept (Any non-traditional custom not based on a character.)
