2007 Custom Awards: Presenting the Winners!

MLPTP Custom of the year awards 2007

Thankyou to all who voted to determine who should win each category.

I wish to thank all our nominees and fellow customisers , all of you have done wonderful work, We thankyou for showing it here at the Trading Post.

The Winners are:

Categories:

Custom of the Year - Hasbro Inspired (Anything with a symbol that Hasbro designed, or a varation on an offical hasbro pony.)

Winner: Wysteria ( Taf Baby Trio)
Runner Up: PopGirl ( G3 Moonstone)

Custom of the Year - Non-Hasbro Inspired (Everything else; traditional materials paint + hair.)

Winner: Pop-Girl ( Butterfly Pony)
Runner up: Diana_Arcuri (The Last Unicorn)

Custom of the Year -Elaborate (Sculpted, additions of jewels and ornaments etc -- including pairs and groups.)

Winner: PoniesYeah ( Mirror Queen)
Runner up: McWolfe ( Carousel Ponies)

Custom of the Year - Original Concept (Any non-traditional custom not based on a character.)

Winner: Kar Red Roses ( Flowerpot)
Runner up: Kar Red Roses (Dia de los Muertos Ponies)

Custom of the year Overall (Similar to Best In Show; winner will likely take one other ribbon from the categories below.)

Winner: PoniesYeah (Mirror Queen)
Runner up: Pop-Girl ( Butterfly pony)

Customizer of the Year (Person who exhibits the most all-around excellence.)

Winner: Pop-Girl
Runner-up: Woosie

Award Ribbons will now be printed and presentations will be made when printing is completed. We hope the printing process will not take long

It was really hard to vote for just one in each category. All the customs were great! Congratulations to all the winners! I look forward to seeing more from everyone.

It was a VERY HARD choice! We have so many excellent customizer that definitely deserve awards. Congrats to all the winners and all who have even posted a single custom here! Great job everyone!

Congratulations to Pop-girl! Customizer of the year is one huge accomplishment! It's very cool that all the members here thought you were worthy of that title! That says a lot about you!

And Woosie, Runner up of the Best Customizer of 2007 ain't bad at all! Congratulations to you too, it's no secret that people here love and have loved your customs for years!

Congratulations, PoniesYeah! Your Mirror Queen custom was one of the best customs I've ever seen in general, so I'm really happy it won for the Best Overall Custom of 2007 AND Best Elaborate Custom of 2007!, as it sure deserves it! Such work went into the sculpting. I have always been amazed by it and in awe of it.

Congratulations to KarRedRoses! You outdid yourself this year! You beat YOURSELF for the Best Custom with an Original Concept! Haha, I had a chuckle about that. First place: Flowerpot by Kar. What's this, second place, Dia de los Muertos by Kar too!! Haha! Great job, I loved both of those, I'd love to own any of those!

Congratulations Pop-girl (again) for your winning the Best Non-Hasbro Inspired Custom of 2007 with your gorgeous Butterfly pony. It seemed a lot of people really loved that custom, I think it was simply stunning!

And congratulations to Diana_acuri too! I must say I loved that Last Unicorn custom you made out of the G2 base! It looked like a statue! You are so talented!

Wysteria, that TAF baby trio was a popular set! I want to congratulate you, you do some of the best Hasbro-Inspired customs I've seen. Great job on the likeness of those! And the cuteness!

And Pop-girl, congratulations to you (yet again

) for getting the runner-up place for the best Hasbro-inspired custom of 2007, your G3 Moonstone! She was one of the best G1 to G3 customs I've ever seen.

And one more thing I'd like to say; a big congratulations to our other customizers who were nominated. You guys all did some beautiful work this year, and I don't make them, so I don't know what it's like or how much time goes into them, but thank you all for showing us your work, I really enjoy looking at all the different customs and all the different techniques. You all make the pony community so much more original!

I really enjoyed watching all the amazing ponies that were made this year. All of you have beautiful work! It's been great seeing all the personal styles shine through on all the different ponies made.

I'd love to extend a huge congratulation's to all of our winners!

OMG, thank you everybody for your support! I'm SO honored and thrilled to have achieved this recognition for my crazy crafties! I look forward to showing Flowerpot and Co. off at the Fair in June, plus I'll have some new gals with me as well.

I was so excited when I saw the numbers of the last unicorn to go up >.< I'm so happy that you like her ^^ It's amazing to see the wonderful customs that were here to choose from!!!! Congratulations to the winners, you all deserve it!!! And the nominees, congrats for being such wonderful customizers and beautiful persons! Keep the amazing job everyone!!!!!!!!!!!
