MLPTP GALLERIES: How to use the galleries!

Hello folks! Here is yet another tutorial to help you and your pony pictures, because we all know at one point or another, we have a few pictures of ponies that we want to organize, or show other collectors.

Ok, there are 2 different types of galleries here at the TP.

1. Site Gallery Located here: My Little Pony Trading Post - My Little Pony Trading Post Photo Gallery - Gallery Or you can find it if you look at the very top of the TP, where the Search function, or the Chat Room link are. See the Site Gallery link?

2. Member Profile Albums. These are located on your profile page, and can be set to private if you want.

Firstly, we will discuss the Site Galleries.


To use this, all you have to do is be logged in, and click on the "upload" button located above all the albums you see.


Then choose which album you want your picture to go in, and choose "continue." This is where you will be taken to a page where you can browse your computer for the photo you want, and then click "upload."



It will let you give your photo a title and a description.


Then once you're done, you can add comments, and do other things, like rate it! If you want to use this photo in a post, just right-click the photo and choose "copy link location."


Then paste the link into the post, like this:

Then just put that link you copied between this code: [img][/img]
And voila!


That's very easy to do, and fun to create your own galleries!
When you want to look at all the uploads you saved for a certain album gallery, just click on that galler, such as, "MLP Collection Displays" and then click on the letter that your username starts with. You will then be able to click on your username and it will take you to all the uploads you added to that album gallery.

The other type of gallery on this site is the member profile albums.

These are albums you can upload to straight from your profile page.
You click on your name, and it will take you to your profile. Then, on the right-hand side of the profile, you should see a "albums" section.

This shows the different things you can do once you're in your gallery. You can upload, edit an already uploaded picture, or add a picture to a social group.


If you click on upload, it will take you to this page. Just browse to your folder on your comp where your picture is, and choose upload.


It will then take you to this page where you can give your photo a title and description, then save that.



This shows you how to choose a social group to add your photo to.


Here is an example of how to get the right code so that you can get your picture to show in your post. Just copy the BB Code link and paste into the post you're replying to, and voila, your picture will be in the post.
