Technical Difficulties

Hey guys! I've been trying to add new photos to my albums on my page for several days now, trying different ways of trying to get it to work...and it won't work! It doesn't make sense because I'm doing it the same way I've done it in the past, and it worked then, it just won't work now.

Any tech nerds out there that can help me figure out what to do? I got new ponies and wanna add their photos!

the first thing you can check is if the picture is too big. you'll just keep getting error messages if they are. what happens when you try to upload?

After I put the photos in and click for them to upload, it takes about two minutes, then a page comes up and says:

Database Error

The My Little Pony Trading Post database has encountered a problem.

Then it suggests to refresh, or go back to the homepage, etc. to try again. I've tried all of those things and have tried again over and over.

I don't understand how the photos can be too big. If you look at all my other albums, all of those pictures I uploaded the same way and there was no problem. I didn't change the resolution, I didn't make the pictures bigger or anything like that.

The only thing that MIGHT be different (I'm not sure if this is different since I last uploaded photos) is that my photos now automatically go to Picture Manager on my computer instead of the Kodak software. Which means when I upload them, they are coming from Picture Manager, but my computer has been doing that for awhile now, so I don't know that could be the problem.

Any other thoughts? Ideas?

What are the pic filetypes? I don't pay attention much when I upload lol but I believe that some types of formats won't load. Try changing it to .jpg?

yeah that might be it. if not i'm not sure what it can be. i think i've gotten that error before too and then i resized the pic or changed the format and it worked.

Thanks for trying to help! I already use the .jpg format, so that wasn't a problem.

I ended up having to resize the photos -- which is so weird because I've never had to do that before. I used the same camera and same process that I've done before, but for some reason it wouldn't let me use them that way this time. My pics are smaller now, but at least they are working.
