SCAMMER: BROOKE KUTIK : Back scamming on ebay using paypal chargebacks. UPDATE 1/25

Does anyone know of this person? She won the following auction and paid for it with Paypal:

Now she has filed an claim through her credit card and Paypal has taken the money from me to cover this. She claims that the payment was not authorized and her credit card charged back the total amount. She has both the pony and her money.

If anyone knows who this person is, please let me know. I have a feeling she is a known scammer and if she buys from you and pays through Paypal, refuse the payment and do not complete the transaction!!

Just wanetd to give a heads-up and if anyone knows anything about her, please let me know. I have her address to compare as well.

I knew that name was familiar. She's an old time nasty scammer. She had her own page on the Ponyland Police back in the day. She was in the "Most Wanted" section. That should tell you all you need to know about her. Here's a link to the archived page:

I haven't heard about her in years. I'm surprised she's still around. I'm sorry you got taken by her. She's one of the very bad scammers from a long time ago, and I was hoping she finally left for good. I guess she found a new and easier way to scam people thanks to paypal. I hope you can get your money back!

I'm so sorry she did that to you! I just don't understand why people do these things. Too bad you already left her positive feedback, that must sting. But it says she's no longer a registered user?

I don't know much about this situation or ebay as I don't spend any time doing auctions, but it appears this scammer is no longer a registered ebayer! That's a good thing right? Wonder how that all came about?

paint_kitty - check out the link I posted. There may be a few things you can try to get your money back. There is a LOT of information on this girl at the site.

There is a lot of information at the link I posted above. Most of the links within the archived site do work, so I would suggest that everyone take a look at the most wanted section and learn the names of those scammers. Brooke is not the first old time scammer who has come back. Most of the people who were around when she was scamming have left, but not all of us. It's very sad that she managed to scam again, but if the newer members famliarize themselves with the names of the old scammers, then this sort of thing will hopefully not happen again.

She's also known for jumping ebay IDs and email addresses. She has a ton of aliases, so even if this name is unregistered, she may have several other ones out there to bid on auctions.

There are actually a ton of ebay IDs and email addresses at that link I posted. I don't have time to sort through them all, but there are quite a few. I don't know how current the are though.

Crap...appearently this chick likes Mimic? I have a Mimic on eBay right now. Could anyone PM me this girl's (woman's?) address? Maybe then I can keep her from bidding even if she changes her name again (which I guess she did since that eBayer is already no longer a member)? Or anything else that might help me avoid her bids?

Thanks for all your help. It is now in the hands of Paypal and her credid card company. If I do not win this, eBay suggested I file a complaint through the authorities in her area.

I work for a credit card dealing with chargebacks here in the UK and did a little investigating. She has been very clever this time. Making a 'fake' ebay account and 'stealing' the credit card details to use with her 'fake' paypal account. Then claiming she didn't make the purchase after receiving the item to an address that is not associated with her credit card. Meaning I do not have a leg to stand on.

There goes my selling to newbies and shipping to non verified addresses. What happened to common decency and trust?

My husband recently would not let me purchase anything through paypal because he got ripped off by a seller...now I can't use it full stop because there is a negative £50 balance in the account. I had to back down earlier from a purchase from Spoosh!! This really adds fuel to the fire!!

WATCH OUT!!

She lives in Boca Ranton, Florida. I have her full address and phone number (if they are even valid) if you suspect she is trying to scam you as well. If anyone has any more info about her, please let me know. If you have had a bad experience with her and I do not get my money back, I will go to court with this and would like any support/information available.
