International buyer issues... am I the only one?

I just sent an ebay order to Finland. Basically I said the only way I ship internationaly is Priority, and that is $30.00. They still wanted it, and were willing to pay that price.
I don't give international buyers a choice on shipping method. If they want the item bad enough, they'll pay the extra.

I just had a package from canada arrive in oz in about 2 weeks... I was gobsmacked to say the least, but then I noticed it was airmail. It wasn't THAT expensive, I mean I didn't even realise! But AusPost really sucks. we mostly only use surface within the country, unless it's internal express, and my package from poland got torn.... thank goodness it was a bubble mailer - the bubbles held the bag with the ponies in! I usually ship standard post unless requested, but we air ship out, and then have no control over shipping, I guess it's surface, regardless of tracking! So it takes a while anyway. I have only ever sold to the US though, and that's been fine. And tracking to Australia means it gets to the post office. They sign for it, and then *someone at your address* signs for it. Grr. Only internal registered mail has an 'addressee must sign' policy. It's stupid!

Well you can also ship it First class registered mail if its under a certain weight. Its cheaper than priority.

These days, I find it easier to just not ship to certain countries - Italy, mainly. And I have heard Venezuela--->US is bad as well. Customs rips the heads off ponies looking for drugs, I usppose.
