Ebay Seller Red2010

I am just posting this in case some others bought or are thinking of buying from this Ebay Seller, Red2010. I've never posted anything like this before but I don't want anyone else to get caught up. The person's name is Sara.

I won one of their auctions and have had a lot of trouble so far. I have not been able to get into contact with the seller at all. So I called Ebay.

Here's what happened.

Ebay investigated their username on the phone and urged me to not go ahead with my pending transaction. They said that the user had been previously suspended from Ebay under a different username and they were trying to scam me.

They suggested I cancel my transaction after 24 hours, and they will take action against the seller. They want me to contact them one more time to have it on file for them though. I suppose that is their process.

I am so glad I called and spoke with Ebay.

a lot of trouble as in, what? what issues lead up to your having to contact the seller, and then call ebay?

I haven't been able to contact them. They don't respond to calls or emails. I needed to be in contact with the Seller (Ebay's suggetstion) so that we could complete the transaction, but they don't respond. Considering I've done many Ebay transactions, I take that as a lot of trouble. (Then considering I almost sent them money for soemthing I probably wouldn't have gotten.) I've never had a seller not reply in any way at all after a period of time. Maybe others ideas of what is trouble is different though.

Here's what happened before that, because initially I didn't call Ebay to find out about the Seller.


After I won the auction, I was unable to pay. They had sent me the invoice, but even though the auction stated that they accepted Paypal Bill Me Later, it was greyed out at checkout, I could only pay through other methods. I thought the problem was on my end so I called Ebay to fix it. After being on the phone with them and Bill Me Later for about 2 hours they told me everything was fine on my side. They then said I needed to contact the Seller because something was wrong with their account. So I followed Ebay's suggestion. I didn't want to be a pest so I didn't email or call all in one day. I waited days between each email. After not receiving any kind of response to my emails or call, I called Ebay back to see if anyone else had had trouble and to get advice on what I should do.

That is when they told me about the sellers troubled past and suggested I get out of the transaction. I had almost decided to send my money by a different method as well. I'm glad I waited.
