Greek pony "Lambaditsa"/Easter Candle pony for sale - SOLD!

:santa41: Hello and Merry Christmas to everyone!

I just found this beautiful pony amongst my childhood toys and I found out that it is rare and very much wanted by collectors! It is Lambaditsa a.k.a. the Easter Candle Pony, which was only sold in Greece for Easter.
So here it is for sale!
Starting price:
$1500 (plz contact me via pm for offers).
Also feel free to contact me for more information.

P.S.1 Paypal available (+conversion charge to euros).
Of course, since I'm in Greece I would much rather prefer a payment in euros
Also, shipping ranges from 10-15$, depending on country. And it goes to say that it will be recorded delivery (you'll need to sign for the package to get it), which is the safest way.
P.S. 2 You can click on the images to see a larger version.

Do you have any references, Gazzy? People will be reluctant to bid on a pony, no matter how rare, if they don't know who you are or what you've bought/traded/sold in the past.

I have a question for you Gazzy...Is there any specific reason why you took pictures of her sides using different backgrounds and lighting?

She's a lovely pony, but some members might be hesitant to bid on her because of this.

Hello to everyone and Happy New Year! :santa3a:

I understand everone's hesitations, cos this is indeed a very expensive pony. The truth is though (and this goes to satinslipper and Skeen), that I've never actually sold a pony before. The only thing I've sold on the internet are spare concert tickets, and I'd be glad to give you the names and e-mails of people I've made the transactions with, so that they can give you references. Don't know if that can cover it, but I'm not a regular seller and I've just signed up on ebay, without having yet put anything on auction.

As for why I am actually selling this pony, here's the story. I accidentally found an ad on craiglist of a girl who was looking to buy greek ponies. So I thought why not, I have a couple of old ones, and I e-mailed her. When I sent her the pictures of my ponies, she offered me 100$ for them and even went up to $175, which I thought was a lot of money for 2 old toys!! So I looked them up on the internet, and whiile one of my ponies is not worth a lot (she's Up,Up and Away), the other one (Lambaditsa) turned out to be one of the rarest and mots expensive ponies! So here I am

I don't know what to do to convince people that I am an honest seller :( I can definately post as many pictures of Lambaditsa as you want, and give my phone number and full adress to anyone that decides to buy her. And of course I welcome other suggestions as well.

And as for the pictures ImmortalPanda, I just thought it would be more interesting to show 2 pictures with different backgrounds. But I'll add some more same background ones straight away (please check my first post)!

Ok, that's all for now, please let me know if you need more questions answered.

The way to get us to trust you is to not sell the Greek Pony right as you start off on this message board. It just makes you look suspicious because many scammers in the past have done the same thing. I'm sorry, just that's the way it is. You have to earn trust in this community - we as a collective have been scammed far too many times to simply just trust any new person walking in, especially with an incredibly rare Greek Easter Pony.

The only way I could see a sale being made on a pony of this value without having a strong sales and reference history is to look into a couple of different options to ensure everyone feels safe.

For example you could meet up in person with a community member (yes we have Greek collectors) or you could have someone within the community act as an intermediary in the sale. Meaning that if you sell the pony to a buyer, the buyer would wait for you to send it to a highly trusted community member and upon them receiving it, the money would be sent to you. Like escrow.

A pony like this is similar to buying a diamond. Extra care has to be taken.

I'm sure other people here will be able to come up with more ideas to ensure a safe transaction.

Collector1 has come up with good suggestions there. Putting the pony for sale through eBay gives buyers more protection too.
