Hasbro found a way to sucker me back in... and I don't even like the new mould... maybe I'm getting desperate, but I LOVE those accessories and I can't pass up a G3 (term debatable) that I don't have.... plus I do love the Newborns...

Maybe they'll have fishing with Dad soon?
 
I'm appreciative of the fact that the mummies have near-proportional heads.

Does Rainbow Mom have ears under there?

Perhaps the good people of Hasbro are working under the theory of immaculate conception. Or turkey basters. XD

OMG! Are those actually new ponies? And not from the bore 7??

They appear to be a new mold completely... taller and less rounded bottoms and their eyes aren't so big and their mouths are more closed...

I made a comparison pic... AND Pinkie's Mom has short hair!

hui i do believe you're right SR. they are more leggy and even though the eyes are smaller they seem to fit better in the head *doesn't like PP's smaller eyes too much-liked RD's bigger ones* and they're heads are less "cheeky" too it seems.

and yeah, Purple Pie is soooooo Cheerilee colored...and even their hair colors are similar...are we s ure that PurPie is PP's mom? oh well, maybe they're related too? maybe PurPie is Cheerilee's aunt or...dare we suggest her older sister! :lol: yeah that's great, PinkPie is older than her aunt :lol: how's THAT for a weird pony geneology hasbro :lol:

I like how one set is called "family" and yet there is no second parent, and the other is a mom going grocery shopping with her kid.... Oh Hasbro and your gender roles

Yeah, I'm not impressed with them either. If we had other ponies who didn't resemble the Core 7, it wouldn't be so bad but as it is . . . "We've been producing only seven ponies in these 7 colorschemes. Oh boy, two MORE ponies--also in those colorschemes!" I mean, Pinkie Pie's mom has Cheerilee's exact hair colors--laziness.

Also, I hate that type of shopping cart in real life. Darn things take up so much of the aisle another cart can't get by!
 
hey why's PP and PurPie more than Dash and Sash hu? it'd figure te one i want would be more >> why couldn't they just do the moms seperate or in a simple 2 pack with the kids?

I like the moms. I was just thinking how from G1 to G3.5 the ponies look younger and younger. Like the G1's have a very maternal quality, they're big, have big hips and just look very calm like you wanna snuggle with them. Then the G3s look more like teenagers, now the G3.5's look like hyper little kids with their giant heads, tiny butts and big feet. So I'm glad they got some moms back in. Next is the dads.
 
Meh, I'm not impressed.

Cute concept, sure... But do the mom's even get names? They look pretty much the same as their babies but with minor symbol differences.

I also find it odd that Hasbro waits til the ponies look really baby-ish to start releasing mom & child sets... Oi.

Also, SR (man it's weird saying my former TP initials to someone else), I kind of noticed that. Maybe they got the scare of waking up with one of those things in their face and seeing how ugly it really is. Or maybe they realized they DO look like kittens. Or maybe... just maybe.. they realized we hated it.

But I'm glad they're hooves aren't heavy drooping blobs anymore.

Hasbro.. learn the anatomy of a horse. All-in-all they should go back to the old G1 style. Heh. They looked like horses. I'm not sure when or how the whole chibby "look at me I have no edges" style got popular.. but I wish it would DIAF.
