Summerglow was nice enough to send me this along with some -normal- baits XD

i am... well.. a bit puzzled as to how i should get it off so i could maybe use it for a custom. i think it may be spray paint. but i am not 100% and ofcourse the awesome glitter. and she has it in her hair aswell... awesome XD i was hoping it would just be paint, but now i am scared she might be heavily stained.. or that i can't get it off at all.

any ideas?? i am running low on acetone, and i think this pretty baby would need a bucket x_x

Ugh, that looks like nail polish! She looks like if I touched her she'd be sticky. :/ I think acetone is going to be your best option, sadly, or a paint stripper of some kind. Since it's red there's always the chance it stained the plastic underneath but there's no way to know without stripping it off.

I think the pony underneath is purplely/pink anyway.... maybe now she will have a red tinge as well. If they had any sense, she'll be primed with white or grey, so maybe it wont be all bad news! But then red glitter paint with glitter bits isn't sensible....!!!

If the paint is not too thick, nail varnish remover may make a start on it, with acetone to finish off

Wow, that is one project. Poor little thing looks like she was dipped in blood and bits.

I would say acetone and a toothbrush.
Cotton balls will take all eternity (and probably a whole bag) and once they get enough paint in them they don't do anything but smear.

The only draw back to a toothbrush is it will spray off on your sink (like if you put paint on a toothbrush and ran your thumb over it?) but a cotton ball w/ acetone will take care of the sink ;)

Yeah... I'd just fill a bowl with acetone and soak her in it for a fews days, and rotate her so all he body parts were soaked in it. That stuff looks THICK :p

toothbrush sounds like a good idea! i was using a sponge, but i think i need something tougher

awwww poor milky way. i too though nail polish after seeing her. i hope something works to get all that gunk off her.

She will definitely be stained CC.

My vote is for the trash can XD

Nooooooooo not the trash can!

Can't wait to see what you do with her, CC. For as crazy as that red is, it's pretty uniform at least - whoever did it, while messy with the hair and eyes, looks like they did put some time into getting all that red on her.

I always use toothbrushes when I need to strip my custom fails. (Walmart has some good ones for like 75 cents that I stock up on XD) It can still be a PITA, and eventually you have to break out the cotton swabs and balls to get the finishing nook and crannies, but it will definitely make your life easier!
Good luck!

I would be afraid that, if you soaked her in acetone, she might melt. Like, if you left her in a bowl for days....
Yeah I definitely would not leave a pony in acetone for more than a few minutes at a time!

Hang her on the Christmas tree. O-o

Perhaps a bath in boiling hot water and a magic eraser? It's the only thing I can think of that doesn't involve acetone since you said you didn't have much. Good luck....I can't wait to see how she turns out. It's a shame, because the custom was cute in theory, but sadly whoever made her didn't seem to use the best of materials.

I am interested in knowing where she came from too. I think that acetone would probs be your best bet too. <3 the toothbrush idea.

I haven't tried it on pony's but i know * with extreme caution & ventalation gas or paint thinner removes lots of things like tar, paint gooey grud etc. you could soak her for a bit & see what happens i supposed.. and if it don't work then besides the trash have a nice bon fire .

I change my mind. Hang it on the front door to scare away solicitors XD
