I'm taking offers on her at the moment, starting at $500.

I'm also gonna be listing a Greek Butterscotch, Lemondrop, Minty and Subeam.
And possibly a greek baby Cotton Candy and Minty (with dark green hair).

Rock-on! She screams gorgeous! Such a pretty bird..awww..

She is a beauty!! I love her!!
But i couldn't justify to spend so much money on a pony...:eek:mg:

Haha Novanelle, I'm not ready for children yet :p
Try again after a couple of years ;)

I got her from a girl's childhood collection :)

Her tail washer and hair roots seem to be a bit different than those of other greek ponies, so some people think she might be a rehair...
I highly doubt this since she's someone's childhood pony, but I have to be honest about her differences.
I do understand that her uniqueness makes people question her.

So anyway, starting price for her is now lower, $500.

i have a few questions, you might need your friends help to answer them though!

where/when did your friend get the pony from? did she have the pony from new for easter, birthday or christmas? does she remember the box the pony came it? or was it a hand-me-down given to her by a big sister or a friend or relation? did she pick the pony up at a flea market or second hand shop? i don't think you have many flea markets in greece though. did or does she know anyone who worked in a toyshop or the el-greco factory?

i know it is a big ask but knowing the history of the pony (where she came from and if she was owned from new) will help us find out who she is :)

saying she is a childhood pony doesn't always fill in the gaps of how a pony came to be in a certain place or owned by a certain pony, for example ~ i own US release glitter symbol powder :) i live in the UK and she was never sold here, yet i have this pony from my childhood. i didn't have her from new either, she was a gift from my cousin who came to visit one summer when i was about 7 years old and gave me the pony from her collection :)

ponies crop up in all sorts of funny places and answering those questions can help us fill in the pony's history.

love pkw xxxx

Excellent questions PKW, I was wondering about her too. She is lovely (& unfortunatly something new to add to my want list!).

Gazzy, would you be willing to take payments? Good luck with your sale!

Ok, first of all, the person I got her from isn't a friend, is just someone I found that was selling their childhood ponies.

Secondly, they have/had lots of greek ponies. I also got a Sunbeam and Butterscotch from them and will be possibly going back for baby Cotton Candy and baby Minty.
And they had more CPs too, like Minty, Lemondrop, 2 x Cotton Candy, 2 x Bowtie, Peachy...Also a Parasol with a forelock cut.
And they told me that they had already sold some other ponies to other people! So we're talking about a big childhood collection here.

So of course when I asked them about this specific pony they couldn't remember. All they could tell me was that they got their ponies for Christmas or as presents and that they were store bought. '
I did ask them about the hair too (after I had bought the pony, so they could be honest) and the whole changing the pony's hair thing sounded very strange to them.

That's all I know you guys. I couldn't possibly get more specific info. They told me that these are 20 year old toys, how could they specifically remember? And believe me, they're not very easy to work with either :p

The hair and tail length look very similar to other babies'. And the hair texture and they way it looks. And I have a fellow greek collector agreeing with me that this pony has original hair. Maybe she can post here too.

Anyway, that's all for now.

And tsukikakushi, yes, I'll most certainly accept payments :)

I know many could think that she is a rehaired baby, but I have to say that Greek ponies were all handmade so that would explain why her tail washer and her hair are a bit different.
there are many different Babies for Baby Cuddles. so it doesn't surprise me that they made 3 kinds of baby Firefly!
I wish I could buy her!!!!
but things are tight for me at the moment!
Good luck gazzy!!!!!:bounce:

gazzy ~ thank you for your reply and for answering my questions, i know it was a big ask.

20 years is a long time ago :) most peoples memories are fuzzy, i know mine is! sometimes memories do stick though, i remember clearly my cousin giving me powder :) i was hoping perhaps they might have been "oooh i remember this little yellow pony, it was a gift from aunty such-a-body and she used to work in a toy factory!" and so on :p

they did have quite a number of ponies then! since they had already sold some of them on to someone else, it makes me wonder what else they had. knowing that they got the ponies as gifts or from the shops does help a lot :)

you did right asking them if they knew about rehairing, from their reaction from that it says that they have not touched the pony :)

with new ponies or odd ponies knowing this background does help a lot in figuring out just were she fits in, in the world of mlp :)

might i ask is the babies hair a match to the other greek ponies with yellow hair? i am thinking butterscotch or perhaps sunbeam's yellow stripe?

unicorngusty ~ yes i have heard that they used to hand paint on the eye lashes :) it is similar to the italian ponies which have hand stamped eyes and symbols, it makes each pony unique.

you are right there are three baby cuddles and three baby medleys :) there do seem to be two of almost all the greek ponies!

love pkw xxx

PKW they had no special memories of this pony, it was just one of the many they had. But I totally get what you're saying.

No idea what else they had, the guy I talk with is not the best at describing ponies, hehe! Plus I've been bugging him too much about Firefly already :allecto:

As for the hair, nope, it doesn't match the other ponies' hair (at least not the 2 you mentioned). It's a neon/electric yellow, while the others' hair is a warmer yellow.
