My brother recently got interested into ponies because of my collection, he's always coming into my room looking on the floor and shelves for the booklets that come inside the pony boxes since he only owns 1 baity cotton candy and a stuffed pinkie pie, he considers the books from my ponies his collection.
he took a booklet to school one day and showed it to a couple of his friends and one girl had asked him why he had a girly book. he got embarrassed and told her "its my sissy's, she's got a lot of ponies! she collects them and has a whole bunch!!!" he told me she said
"your sister is weird! why would anyone collect ponies?!"
i most certainly am not weird!
but that's not the point.
are ponies becoming unpopular with the younger crowd? i know my brother is only into them because i started collecting, and watching the show with him. he loves pinkie pie the best because she's funny. but its always been like this. when i collect something, he likes it too. which was how i was with my big sister when i was little.
but the other kids he's talked to, all say they don't like ponies. both boys and girls. and now he's too scared to take his pinkie pie stuffed animal to show and tell because they'd make fun of him for it. i told him to take her and start a new trend, and he told me they all say bad things about the show and the toys.
