I was poking around Ebay recently and came across these, they look like the new singles for the Crystal Empire series:

Neat! Looking forward to season 3 so we can learn a little more about the Crystal Empire. Looks like we're going back to MOC. I guess the insane packaging became too expensive.
 
I imagine this type of packaging will cut down on awful box hair. This pleases me. :)

I have enough to do fixing garage sale hair. I really hate fixing box hair too.

Looks cool but I wish that there can also be versions of other ponies not yet released, like a new wave, besides the main 6 as most people all ready have them in a different version
 
The babies are cute....but I don't do so softs like that, so I'll pass. lol. I wish they had brushable counterparts.

I am excited for Ploomette. I got her Glimmer Wing counterpart because she was OC, but I didn't really like the whole glitter wing thing. So I'll be getting her. I just don't know what I'll be don't with the glitter wing one.

I like the new packaging. Less plastic = better for the environment. Plus....it reminds me of G1's, and I love that. :)
 
I heard that in these new packages the hair wasn't going to be taped down anymore :D I hope so!

As a G1 buyer from back in the day as a kid, I'm loving the "new" card packaging. Less damaging to the ponies overall, will take up less space to store, and for those of us who keep them in the package, they can be fully seen. I like it.... A LOT! :) And might I add... I love the tinsel in the hair.... very "G1 Princess"-like!
 
Haha, the cards had me think of G1 immediately! Kewl.
The only thing I wonder is why weren't these the first releases instead of the trolley/saddle + pet ones. Just seems a bit counter-intuitive to me.

Also, am I the only one who finds Ploomette's colors awfully close to Toola-Roola's?
