Funko Dr. Whooves Questions

So, the new Funko Ponies came out a few days ago and some are showing up in stores. I've checked my two local hot topics, they haven't recieved them yet.
My question involves some rumors I'm hearing..maybe some of you can dispell them.

1) Dr. Whooves has variants, red and green tie plus a clear crystal chase one. Some people are saying that you can only get the red tie by ordering online or the chase variant by ordering online. Funko Funatics think both will be found in stores, the crystal one if you're lucky.
Does anyone know which is true?

2) Some people think that the clear chase Dr. Whooves can come with the green tie, but I've only seen red tie versions. Has anyone seen a green tie version?

Any help would be appreciated, since I'm thinking of trading my red tie variant for a green tie and if it exists I'd like to get the green tie clear chase variant (green's my favorite color heh).

The red/green ties are 50/50. The translucent vairents are 1/24. I did a quick image search and opaques can be either red or green. I've only seen red tied variants so far, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's green tied versions as well.

The variants are randomly packed into boxes. If your store only gets a few, there's not a good chance one of them will be a variant. The same is true with ordering online. The chances are still going to be 1/24, but if someone sees the variant while unpacking them at the store, they could just buy it right there. It's also more likely that someone is going to grab the variant before you do at the store, too.

I was also wondering what color ties the Glitter variants had - was hoping they'd be green tie.

I haven't looked at my local store, but I would wonder how Hot Topic would display the glitter ones if they got one in stock in the boxes... if they're just being packed randomly at 1/24 for ALL shipments out from Funko, or just that there is a 1/24 chance you'd get one from ordering them online from Hot Topic?? Perhaps HT ordered a certain ratio and they're the ones offering the 1/24 chance not Funko?

I've been image searching for two days and only succeeded in finding red tie chase variants on google, bing and ebay...but I'll hold out hope there is a green tied one.

Thanks for the info. Even if it's a small chance they'll show up in the store at all, at least it's still a chance.

I was wondering the same thing, concerning display...in one of my local hot topics, the funko ponies are displayed openly near the entrance. So if you're not looking for it, but walking by and it was the first one shown people might be likely to run in and buy it..I guess displaying is just at the employees discretion.

Regarding your last two questions...I really have no idea. I know the funko ponies are limited exclusives to hot topic (they'll be showing up in barnes and noble in the coming months) but I do think the chase variants are hot topic exclusives..

I only got the normal one with red tie in my order. But I like that one, so I'm happy.

I managed to get both chase variants for dr. Whooves and fluttershy in the same box! Somehow I was 1 in 24 twice lol. I was pretty happy but then I was estatic when I found out how rare they were. Albeit, before that I was a little disappointed that all I got was red tied ones but not anymore heh.
